Tibet is an ideal country for trekking due to its fascinating mosaic of mountains and rivers. The entire southern boundary is formed by the Himalaya and along its western edge lays the Karakoram Range. These two mountain ranges are home to all fourteen of the world's 8000-meter peaks, including the outstanding Mount Everest. The Northern region of Tibet, Chang Tang, is high and dry. The East of Tibet is bounded by a chain of mountains. Over million of years three of Asia's largest rivers cut deep parallel gorges in this chain, while on their way from the Plateau to the sea.
Tibet is sometimes seen as an empty and cold windswept desert on the roof of the World. The truth is the contradery. The Tibetan landscape is rich and diverse and can be stunning beautiful, with sights vary from snowcapped mountains to lush forests and fertile valleys.
