Shisapangma Base Camp Trekking
Mt. Shisapangma (8012m) is the only 8000 meter peak which lies
entirely in Tibet. The mountains first successful attempt was in 1964,
by a Chinese Expedition group, via the Northern side.
The
North Shisapangma Base Camp lies west from the Nyalam Thong-La pass on
the friendship highway. From the base camp you can enjoy outstanding
views of the entire Mt. Shisapangma and the Peiku Lake region. The base
camp is so far from glacier that most people can not trek to advance
base camp and return the same day.
