Himanchal Pradesh(HP)
Himanchal Pradesh (HP) is one of the youngest states
in India. It is a combination of many hill Kingdoms like Kullu, Lahaul,
Spiti, Chamba, Kangra and Kinnaur, which have maintained independence
until the mid 19th century.
Four major mountain ranges extend across HP, which truly make HP as
ideal trekking country and due to its central location the entire state
can be easily accessed from here. Besides it is also the gateway for
treks into Zanskar and Ladakh.
Summer temperatures go over about 20 degree Celsius in the shade, while in winter dropping below freezing point.
