Round Dhaulagiri Trekking
Maximum Altitude: 5300 meters
Duration of Trek: 18 days camping
Grade: Hard
Neighboring the Annapurna Himal, Dhaulagiri lies to the west of Kathmandu. This is a difficult trek around Dhaulagiri (8167 m) that starts from Beni on the Kali Gandaki, and the initial days are taken along the floor of the Myagdi Khola (river) passing through lush green rice paddies and past thatched farmhouses before entering into an alpine region, which adjoin the awe inspiring, and sweeping amphitheater at the base of Dhaulagiri.
From here onwards some serious high mountain trekking lies ahead which demands planning and commitment. The rewards are well worth it; the ruggedness of the terrain provides a kaleidoscope of experiences and tremendous views. French pass the highest point of the trek can be difficult and demanding, especially in bad weather conditions.
This trek is generally feasible in late September to the end of October and again from Late March to end of April
This trek will give you the best close ups of these natural giants Dhaulagiri Himal.
