Annapurna Jomsom Trek Maximum Altitude: 3800 meters
The following day is an interesting hike through arid country up to the temple of Muktinath. The terrain here gradually looks like the Tibetan plateau providing some fascinating rock formations on route. Rather than spending overnight at Muktinath we retrace our steps for an hour to reach Jarkot village, a sample village. The following few days are spent traveling back along Kali Gandaki gorge via many exciting lower Mustang and Thakali villages with a sip of apple brandy made in Marpha. On from Marpha the scenery changes into more alpine and into Tatopani where we rest for a day and relax in the hot spring pool. Two more days to reach Ghorepani and Poon hill for sun rise over the Himalayas. On our return we stop for one night in the beautiful large Gurung village of Ghandruk which gives wonderful views of Annapurna south and Macchapachare. The final day is an easy descent to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara Hotel for one and half. Itinerary:
